“The Hundred Deities of the Land of Joy” (Ganden Lha Gyama), also known as Lama Tsongkhapa Guru Yoga, is a core practice of the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The short text forms a practice of guru yoga centered upon the great adept-scholar Je Tsongkhapa Lobsang Drakpa (1357-1419), the founder of the Gelug tradition. Through verses that illustrate how best to interact with the spiritual teacher and the recitation of the Migtsema, one seeks to purify the mind and accomplish the realizations of the path. This inspiring practice has been recited by ordained and lay practitioners for hundreds of years.
