LODGING INFORMATION
Dagom Geden Kunkyob Ling Buddhist Monastery is very honored and blessed to host the upcoming visit of H. E. Daknak Rinpoche in October 2018.
Lodging at the Monastery: The monastery has limited space, and the space that is available will be offered to ordained sangha members first; however, some lay members have generously offered space in their homes. Please contact the monastery (Event email address: daknakteaching2018@gmail.com or call 317-283-6781) to determine if those options are available.
Other Lodging Options: As a major metropolitan area, Indianapolis has a tremendous number of housing options that fit a wide range of budgets. Currently, the monastery is in the process of negotiating special rates at some of the Hotels in the city. Whether these negotiations are successful or not, you must call your hotel-of-choice directly to make your reservation. When these negotiations are finalized, we will indicate this change on our website (www.dgklbuddhistmonastery.org). Once these negotiations are finalized, please mention that you are attending events hosted by DGKL Monastery during October 19th and November 1st in order to receive a special rate when you make your reservations. At this juncture, please explore some of the rather well-known travel and hotel sites available on the web or consider some of the options listed below.

Please Note: Hotels closer to the Indianapolis International Airport (which is a 15-20 minute-drive from the monastery) are less expensive than those located closer to downtown or to the monastery’s centralized location. Therefore, please be aware that hotels closer to these centralized locations can be very pricey.
AIRBNB
We suggest that you consider finding accommodations in one of the city’s many Airbnb’s. There are several located in our historic district (i.e., Herron-Morton) or in other historic districts located near the monastery. Generally, Airbnb’s offer accommodations that may be considerably less expensive. Please consult www.airbnb.com if you wish to explore this option. Airbnb’s can be as low as $36/day but increase in price, depending upon the amenities offered and location.
Whatever option you select, we suggest that you make booking reservations early. If you have any problems or need assistance, please call 317-283-6781 (main) or 317-908-6583 (mobile) or email us at the event’s email address, daknakteaching2018 @gmail.com.
