In the Gelug Vajrayana tradition, Lama Je Tsongkhapa is a “Buddha of our time,” and his Guru Yoga is a very powerful practice because he is an emanation of the Bodhisattvas of Compassion (Avalokitesvara), Wisdom (Manjushri), and Power (Vajrapani). When we connect with Lama Je Tsongkhapa by thinking of him with faith, reciting his holy mantra, meditating on his omnipresence, and practicing his Guru Yoga, it blesses us and offers a deep sense of peace and clarity. Je Tsongkhapa’s Guru Yoga is a simple, complete and effective practice for today’s modern individuals and affords us the opportunity to find our inner Guru. As such, it is a profound and powerful practice that has vast, immeasurable benefits. In Tibetan, this practice is also known as Gaden Lha Gyema and is translated into English as The Hundreds of Deities of the Land of Joy.
